Unusual visitor notices in log files

Hello,

Recently I've seen alot of activity to two pages on my website from a website with the words texas holdem andrew***. Why would this website be hitting my newsletter archives? I tried making one of the pages temporarily unavailable but they have simply moved to another back issue. I didn't click on the link in my logs but did a search on Google and while I didn't click on any of the websites it appears to be related to gambling.

Its called referrer spam - they are hoping that either your logs will be spidered and they will get the referrals or you will click the link and visit their site.
