How to block traffic from freebie sites?

I recently ran a campaign promoting a free offer. However, it got posted on a freebie site and got an overwhelming response.

Is there a way for me to restrict incoming traffic to my offer page to sites that are running my banners? I'm told that there is, but I'd like to know how to do it, and if there's a name for it so that I can search for it in google.

You can block it with HTACCESS or block it by capturing the referrer on the page they are landing on then redirecting them somewhere else if it comes from a particular referer.

You could also block it at the network level, and disallow all traffic coming from a particular site, but that depends on how much control you have of your network/firewall.
