Google Analytics - tracking sub folders separately

Is there a way I can track my hits to example.com, example.com/forums, example.com/product1, separately with Google Analytics?

I used to do this with Extreme Tracking by creating a new account and placing the new tracker on only those pages I wished for. I could do this with Google Analytics, too, but is there an easier way to do this that is more integrated with my original Google Analytics account?

I don;t knwo whether there is any ways to create profiles for each Folders - subdomains we can have but not sure about the Folders -

As a wide guess, can the Goal/Funnel tracking will do the needed?
