Webtrends vs Templated Pages

Cannot seem to track page visits properly

Hi everyone.

I have a problem. My company's site is designed with Ektron and uses WebTrends to track and generate reports for our site traffic. BUT it is only tracking the visit history of our three page templates, rather than the specific pages visited (we probably have 35 individual pages).

I haven't been able to find a solution to this in any of the support materials published through WebTrends or Ektron.

I would really like to utilize this software properly and get into the meat of this information - but I cannot do that until I find a way to get page specific data.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

It's easy if you know how (and knowing how isn't easy).

Go to the Page File Types setting and, for the file extension that your templates use, change "truncate parameters" to "do not truncate parameters". If you use Ektron the file extension is probably .aspx.

You can do this globally in the Analysis area which will affect all your profiles, or you can do it within just one profile. If you are only analyzing the one site, do it globally.

If you are collecting data using SDC tags, you should also apply a URL Rebuilding setting to the profile that will "suppress all WT parameters" --- this will make sure only your own site's parameters are in the reports.
