How Important Is It To Track Spiders?

I have to be honest, I have never really tracked spiders that closely. Although when I read some post it seems that some folks study them extensively.

I look for them to spider new pages or with a major change, but unless there is a noticable problem with traffic, I really don't bother with them.

I think it depends how much traffic you're getting and how many of those visitors are stealing your content. :)

If you're not getting any traffic your best bet is to focus on content..
