Need a way to track conversions without installing code on client site

Hi all. I have a few clients where I (and they) have no access to their websites but would like to track conversions for PPC marketing. All of the sites have a thank you page. Is their any program where once the user gets to that page it can count as a conversion but without installing anything on the clients site. Maybe by using some sort of cookie or tracking the URL, even maybe by making a realtime mirror of the site? Any ideas? Thanks so much.

What sort of client has no access to their own site? So they can NEVER update their site? That's just crazy.

If you have no access to the site, there's no way to have the page set a cookie. That's just simple security- otherwise anyoen could set a cookie on any page on any site they wanted. Ick!

there are plenty of clients in certain industries with templated websites that they have limited access to.

"limited access" and "no access" are two completely different situations. Which is it?

some have access to content through a CMS but not access to conversion pages such as thank you pages etc. - Some have no access at all

Without access to the page, there's really nothing you can do. If you have tracking stats for the page, you can look at those for broad numbers- not very helpful for conversion tracking. If you do have access to the page, you can set a cookie or add a tracking graphic or use Google Analytics.

Realisitically, though, if your clients are looking to track PPC conversions, they should probably invest the money to have a real site instead of cooklie cutter templates with little or no customization ability.
