Webalizer Referrers Stats

Hi all,

I've been using webalizer stats for a while now and I've always understood the referrers list to be the origin of the visitor to my site, i.e. if it says http://www.example.com then the visitor has come from that site whether it be a search engine or a site linking to me.

However recently I've been looking at purchasing another site and their webalizer referral stats confuse me. In their list of referrals it lists URLs from their own site? How can this be?

Webalizer will log referrals from the same domain unless you tell it ignore those or group them in the config file.

Reason is - it logs every page hit. Obviously some of those are going to be coming from other parts of the same site.

exactly ... i use webalizer almost religiously.... the in site referals stats are great in some cases ... but can be a pain for some navigation configs
