I have the chance to make recommendations for tracking software for my company. It can be custom, off the shelf(webtrends, etc), or a combination of both.
In a perfect world, money is not an issue what would your "perfect" tracking software do? What is your wishlist.

I appreciate your response but I'm looking for something more realistic that will help us effectively track our marketing campaigns. Thanks in advance.

it'd be cool if you could track reffering URL's as campaigns. I.E. everyone that comes from this URL is set to a campaign and then track if they end up making a purchase etc. Right now I have a custom script and I have to add variables to the urls like mysite.com/id=45283 etc. to track that kind of stuff.

Get the relevant PPC info (selected by the user)from Adwords/OV + AWStats and from our own Index Tools metrics tracking and put it all on a one page summary report for dummies! Allows the decision maker to get quick overview I do not have the technical skills(programming that is) to do this but if someone is interested I can help! MM
