I'm doing some freelance SEO work for a hosting company.

The owner of the company wants to sell advanced SEO services, which means that I would be required to do more than just the automated submissions, etc, that many companies promote.

ClickTracks approached him, and the sales rep did a demo for the owner and me. It looked like you could mine a whole lot of data from the program.

Problem is, when we applied the program to one of my boss's existing sites, ClickTracks would just freeze up.

That site was built in Flash. I can understand that there might be problems, although I cannot understand why the developers wouldn't have anticipated such problems.

The new site was launched last week. No Flash, just some Javascript SSI's that don't look any more problematic than what I've seen before. The folks who developed the new site are definitely Class A programmers.

But, if I go into ClickTracks, the program locks up once I get into the Browser View mode. Once there, I cannot go to Search Engine view mode, or any other mode. It will not move out of Browser view.

My boss has already sold one of his biggest clients on our new SEO services, including advanced reporting features such as ClickTracks.

He's also given the sales rep for ClickTracks 24 hours to find out what the problem is, or tell the sales rep to pound sand.

And he's also asked me to find another program that 's similar to ClickTracks, but more reliable.

And we're supposed to give our sales presentation in a couple of days to this big-money client.

I like simple. I like simple reports that show what the client needs to know, not a fireworks display. The more clients demand razzle-dazzle, the more likely it is that the program will show them razzle-dazzle, but not deliver on what's necessary.

I have until tomorrow to recommend another in-depth reporting software program similar to ClickTracks, but one that actually works.

Help!

Any replies much appreciated.
