Sidenote: I've also tried the walkthrough (NETIQKB40030) for adding the search engine reports to a template and increasing the table limiting settings, but still haven't been able to get the reports to show up.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
As for the templates etc, there are a couple things not emphasized enough in the KB article. 1) when you expand the tables from 0 to 10000 or whatever, did you enter 12 check marks? Needs to be all 12. 2) Change the table limit settings in the profile but ALSO globally, i.e. under Options > Analysis > Table Limited. #2 may or may not be affecting you but you should try it just in case.
By the way, when you change the table limits, if you are NOT interested in the "search keywords" reports and only in the "search phrases" reports, leave the "keywords" boxes at 0 to save processing ---- but still do add the check marks.
One last thing. If you want to separate Paid from Organic SE listings, WebTrends needs to be told how to distinguish between them. They'll all be considered organic (and the paid engine reports will be empty) unless the URL has a certain parameter in it that WT looks for - WT.srch=1. That's an SDC parameter but if you don't use SDC you can just get it into your URLs any old which way and WT will take it into account.
