Stripping Keywords Out of Web Stats

Hi,

I use a number of web stats programs like Webalizer, Analog, and Weblog Expert etc.

What I want is a software tool that will strip out JUST the keyword phrases, so I can see all of them.

For example Webalizer only shows me the Top 20 "keyword phrases", and Weblog Expert the Top 50 that surfers found one of my sites by out of over 1500.

Is there any software tool that will strip out JUST the keyword phrases, so I can see all of them.

Any ideas folks?

Thanking you in advance...

Best

Analog will do this - just create a config file that turns off all the reports except "SEARCHQUERY" and set "SEARCHQUERYFLOOR" to "0r"

All those analysers sux big time. I did try several even very expensive ones!

The problem is that many "visitors" are not even visitors and its very hard to configure those analysers to exclude them.

Since 5 months i process all my logfiles in a database and did write some good filters, now i know EXACTLY how many visitors i have, how many pages they visit. In which way they navigate, and offcourse where did they come from.

Thanks, unfortunately I don't have access to the settings for Analog and I know nothing about filtering using a spreadsheet.

Isn't there a tool I can simply run my logstats .gz file through and get all the keywords?

You have access to your logfiles, but not to your Analog config on the server? If so, you could download the logs from the server and run them through Analog on your desktop machine. (There are precompiled versions for most OSes.) The config file format can take a while to learn, but you can use it to slice and dice in all sorts of useful ways.

Check your settings with weblog expert. You can set it up to show 10,000. You can have all the tables to max at 10,000. Weblog Expert rocks if you know how to use it. I can give you any type of report you want from weblog expert. It is cheap and works great. It is very manual but it works if you don't want to spend the bucks. I could justify the bucks for a bigger one but I just keep thinking of other things I would rather buy with the money. Weblog Expert does everything. Granted there are some pretty advanced ROI stuff the big ones do but as far as pure stats it works great.

Hi Ogletree,

You've just made my day!

I can now see all those thousands of keyword phrases, instead of just 50.

Thanks soooo much!
