Are there any stats packages out there that categorize PPC traffic separately from "free" SE traffic?

thx

There are, but most log analyzers don't do it well - the PPC side of things is typically an add-on/after-thought to the original software.

IMO you'll get far better results & more useful stats by using ad tracking software specifically designed to track your PPC ads. But then, I'm biased. :)

An easier way to do this, depending on what you are currently using to track is by adding characters and values.

For instance, your url will become:
[yourdomain.com?source=keyword...]
or
[yourdomain.com?google=keyword...]

That way at least you can see it within the logs. If you need a paid solution that will track the cost per click down to the penny, check out indextools

At the conference, two companies ClickTracks and Urchin were present to peddle their software. Both will do that. But for that capability, they want good money for it. Tacking on a parameter at the end of your URL gives you some information, but it won't give you information like how much a specific keyword costs to convert.

indextools will do this at a reasonable rate. clicktracks turned out to be very unimpressive in the end. too many graphics, not enough to the point data. In the beginning I was expecting the best yet in the end was not willing to pay the price. If you need cost per click, indextools is excellent.
