More distinct host served than pages requested?

Why is this showing on my tracking report?

Hi i'm currently using Analog to track the site I work with. I ran the prgram filtering out hits from robots and employees from the company and any requests for images. And when I looked at the report it showed a larger number for Distinct hosts served than for pages requested.

I'm wondering how is this possible? shouldnt it be the other way around?

one way this could happen is if some other website was linking to one or more of your images. To be certain you would have to look at your log files themselves to find out.
