I hope this is on topic...

I was wondering if there is any site that anyone is aware of to see total internet usage by day or hour or something. What I am looking for is somewhere to go when my site is having a slow day to see that no one is on the internet today, etc. I would think some large site such a yahoo etc. would have a page that listed "total serches today" or something like that so that you could compare how much usage the internet was getting from one day to the next. Anyone aware of such a place? Thanks

This might be along the lines of what you are looking for. Although this is far broader in scope [internettrafficreport.com...]

Oh and if you can't find it there. There is a huge list of other sites that provide that sort of thing here [slac.stanford.edu...]
Hope that helps.

I don't think knowing the total searches from day to day will help you that much. (although it would be interesting). There are so many external factors governing this aswell.

It is What people are searching for that is important. On a day when you don't get much traffic, the total searches on that day may actual be more than a day when you get a lot of traffic.

For example, on a day where there has been a natural disaster or a terrorist attack, the number of searches on the net will go up, but depending on the topic of your website, the traffic there will go down.
