Tracking impressions

I am shopping for software that would help me track the number of impressions & clicks I buy from publishers. For example, if I buy 1,000,000 impressions, I want to make sure I got them all.

Can you please recommend not expensive solution?

What options are available to me?

What kind of publishers? - meaning, would they put in any code U want them to put in along with your banner/text ads?

I am interested in tracking impressions and believe something can be worked out.. Sticky me and we can talk about this more..
