Referrers with? and IP string

Just recently I've been finding new to me strings in my Analog web stats. After showing the uri to a file on my site, it continues with the following:
? and an IP string.

Can someone please tell me what this represents?

I am not sure but I recommend looking your server logs for referers or more data on where they are coming from.

Hi jatar, thanks for trying to answer my question, but the other thread you pointed to seems to be talking about something else. I'll try to be more specific.

When I look at my Analog log file occasionally I get the following type of referrer:

/?***.***.***.***
/my_subdirectory/myfile.css?***.***.***.***

the asterix's represent an IP address.

It's that addition of a question mark and the IP address that has me wondering. I've done a search on the analog_help archives and haven't turned up anything there either.
