Can anyone help with this WebTrends Error?

Hi,

Does anyone have any ideas as to why this error occurs when I am analysing some logs files?

"Unable to analyze further. The licensed hit limit for this profile has been exceeded."

I get so far and then it will analyse no further.

I am using WebTrends Log Analyzer 8.1, analysing regular log files from one server.

Recently, this server has been assigned some IP addresses so it can host a few websites [each website has it's own logs]. The reason I mention this is that I found an article in WebTrends Knowledge Base referring to problems arising from changing a servers' IP address. Thing is it may well mention this but it does not volunteer a solution - if in fact this is actually what's causing the error, I may be barking up the wrong tree here!

I digress...So if anyone has any ideas as to why this error occurs and what a solution to this problem would be it'd be much appreciated.

Many Thanx
Ashley

I recently talked with some sales people at Netiq (developer of Webtrends) about the new version - Webtrends 7.0 that just came out.

They told me that the license allowed analysizing of a maximum of 1 million pageviews per year. (And that, since I have over 6 million pageviews per year, I would have to buy multiple licenses to the tune of about $6,000! Ha! But I digress...).

So Log Analyser 8.1 might have a similar limitation on the number of pageviews it will handle.

? I get 20 million PV per year on a license, with additional licenses costing much less than the primary one. Does the PV limit drop off that steeply for the lower versions?

Welcome to WebmasterWorld apatrick!

loganalyzer 8.1 is no longer being sold as a salesman informed me yesterday.

now all you have is the webtrends 7 line

for the basic version it has the million pageview/yr limit

I was told if you go to the Pro that there is no limit

Even with 8.1 I would think that the limit is the same, maybe try contacting netiq and seeing if their customer support can help you
