Web-log analysis of referrers over time

Is there any software capable of doing this?

I am looking for web-site access log analysis software that will let me drill-down to look at how many hits I am getting from various sites/referrers.

I want to look at the total referrers from a site, eg. Yahoo, and also break it down by week, or month, so I can see if the trend is on the up or not. Obviously, with most referrers I cannot go back and redirect them to a unique page that I could track and analyse how many hits are coming in.

Any recommendations? I'm not sure any of the so-called "major" products like WebTrends do anything useful like this?? I don't really want to start importing data into Excel and doing my own analysis.

Yes, that looks like quite a good product. I would prefer software that runs locally on Windows with the access logs already download, if at all possible. Any alternatives?

look at Sawmill - [flowerfire.com...] - it will run locally, on server or as cgi.
