Hi,
My first ever post on webmasterworld. Wow. Hopefully the first of many discussions.

Does anyone know whether you can set webtrends log analysis to exclude an ip address when analysing, generating reports from your log files?

I think you cant, its just I wanted to ask to see if anyone else has had this problem and what was there work around? At present I use a VB app to delete the logs with the ip.

Also. Is turning of DNS resolution the only way to speed up the analysis time?

Apologies if I'm being dumb.

Thanks :)

You CAN do this.

Just make an Exclude Filter, and choose IP address from the tabs. Then paste in the IP you want to exclude.

Thanks for your advice. Most appreciated.

You can see why I assumed this was not possible from this webtrends article.
