Hi all,

This morning as I drove into work thinking about how best to feed the google spider I began to think about something that intrigued me.

Does Google weigh or measure the keywords found in the meta section of a page against the content that it finds on that page, and does this affect how the page is ranked?

Not really the forum to ask in - Try one of the Google forums - they'll eat up that sort of question like gannets (spelling)

My understanding of Google is they ignore the keywords in the meta tags completely, and just use the content of your page, title, and page name.

Google have changed their algorythm recently and now use BOTH
the keywords must show on your content, which google will use as well to gain the overall relevance
