I am using a specific software to track the clicks of visitors
Can someone please point me in the direction of how to exclude spiders/ robots/ or other silicon based intelligence from counting as unique visitors in this software?

Hi, according to the blurb in that software, it automatically excludes them ..ie, any visitor that starts at the robots.txt file. It doesn't seem to offer any customisation of that feature.

Hope that helps?

stuntdubl-

I was the same software and might have a solution for you.

Go to Program Files > Clicktr*** > Clicktr*** Analyzer > Data directory. Find the file named: UserAgentsToIgnore.txt

I believe you can add more to this text file and when you import your logfiles the results should be filtered out. Not a guarantee...but this is something I would try if I was you.

Exactly what I was looking for Todd. Thanks for your help;) Do you know of a way you could track ONLY bots and spiders in the program out of curiousity?
