As far as logging and tracking goes, is it possible without using the Host to tell you, basicly being able to do this all on your own . . . to log how much bandwidth has been spent in a given period of time? Or track how much bandwidth is spent on a certain file(s)?

Something alone the lines of this . . so when the bandwidth gets to dangerously low levels I dont just know ahead of time - as I could with asking Host - I know why?

I'm sure there are many ways to do this. If you have access to your access_logs, one way would be to use www.analog.cx website statistics analyzer (free) which displays the data transferred (bandwidth). It can be run concurrent to your hosts allowed limits/time frame.
