Hi
I have a quick question in webtrends.
I have created a URL parameter Analysis report, and have added it to the main template.
How in the main report, it read URL Parameter Analyiss by visits. This name is not very user friendly, and I want to change it to product names. Does anyone know how to do this?
Manby thanks
Onkar

There is a report template file in your Webtrends program folder and if you're careful you can change quite a lot of text. Don't expect WebTrends tech support to support you or help you undo it though, because this is a hack. (save a copy of the original). I don't remember which file it is, it used to be english.rpl, but you can do a text search in the whole directory looking for the report title you wish to change.

You don't have to edit any templates to do this.

WebTrends has a function that can translate parameter IDs from a text file.

From support note i WebTrends knowledge base (you can find the complete note by searching for Article ID: NETIQKB6649 in the knowledge base):

To create a translation file for your URL parameters, please follow these steps.

Create a new file using a text editor such as Notepad.

Specify the parameters using the following syntax.
<parameter>,<text to appear in report>

Example

5F63IP4,Nike
68R9EG2,Adidas
9RT364W,Reebok
24GM3AY,Converse

To configure URL Parameter Analysis to use a translation file, please follow these steps.

From the Admin Console, click the Advanced Features link.

Select the URL Parameter Analysis tab.

Select the definition to which the translation file will be attached, and click Edit.

Place a check next to Translate parameter1 values into more meaningful strings and/or Translate parameter2 values into more meaningful strings.

Enter the path to access the translation file in the Location of translation file field. You may browse to the location.

Click OK to close out of the URL Parameter Analysis dialog.

Click OK to close out of the Advanced Features dialog.

Hannu, I think what Onkar wanted to do was change the title of the report itself from "URL Parameter Analysis" to something more specific ... I think ...
