If I recall correctly, super bowl sunday is a huge day on the net correct?
..and here I just zipped up all of last years logs and parked them on a cd.

I am surprised about that. Maybe that is because I am a football fan. I wouldn't miss the game for anything. Yes I know I am a sick indiviual, but I just can't miss those great commercials. We all know the games are usually boring. Besides, every year I have a wager on the game. I need to make sure my team wins. Go Ravens!

Digging back out the logs, I found for 3 years there was a huge spike before and a huge spike for long after (to almost midnight eastern) the bowl was over. There was also a halftime spike, and almost double the normal sunday afternoon traffic during the game. The trend of people watching tv while surfing continues to grow.
Overall, the day was double what was a normal sunday.

Worked out as expected. The biz sites were dead, but infotainment sites were jumping. Especially towards the end of the game and afterwards. Guess no one stuck around for Survivor.

My mainly business related sites were alseep all day. way down for traffic. Fortunately they all came back up to normal and expected traffic levels yesterday. you would think that with such a lopsided 'game' that there would be folks flocking to the net for some relief.

>way down for traffic
50% drop on business sites. Came right back to normal the next day.
