Ok here it goes, I have been talking to a woman in russia that i meet from one of them dating sites. I have heard alot about scams "russian woman scamming on the guys in the USA and she did ask for (money for a plane and visa ect..) so i did some checking to see what was going on. So she writes me some letters saying shes writing from one of them coffee shops with the computers in them. So i figure i could at least trace it to the coffee shop ( the town ) and in most cases this would be the case but when i trace the e-mail it's in or around moscow and she said she live in omsk russia (about 3000 miles from moscow)!

Now im not sure if it's is moscow or around it, maybe one of the citys next to it? It don't say and i want to know for sure the city the ip is at. I checked and couldn't find much about it. I don't know if it's me or what but if you would like to check it out and tell me if you have any luck in finding the city it would be a major help. 195.161.214.85 ¦ 214-85.dialup.mari-el.ru

Now i just did a check and its giving me an error but it still pionts to somewhere by moscow. I'll post the new ip when i get another letter.

Yea trust It starts when i see her face to face and you're right spud but she contacted me from one of them dating sites so i checked it out. Most likely its some big hairy dude named bubba looking to rip off people of there money. I did alot of research right after "she" asked doe money to come to the USA. I wrote back saying i'll pay for her plane ticket from my side and her visa ect... she replys back to me saying she needs the cash to pay for it from her end! lol. So i did some research and learn about the russain woman and how they think. russain woman will not ask you for money as they are prideful or at least not for awhile it would take them along time to work up the gutts!
Also not to it hard for a young russain woman in er 20s to get a visa and if she lucked out i would still have to make up a letter of request and deal with it from my side! If you ever want any info about russain woman coming to USA im the one to ask lol.

Generally speaking, she could sit in Hawaii, use a Moscow based webmail service, and you'd be none the wiser...

That is, if you only look at the source of the message proper. Some webmail services include the IP of the accessing browser in the headers in one way or another, which might give you better clues. If you don't find anything of that, then your only way to be reasonably sure is asking her to send you some surface mail and try to decipher the postage stamps...

Ok, guess you don't need to check any further. There's no need at all to buy a plane ticket from Russia, you could just as well do that from wherever you live. Keep looking for a real russian girl if you're into that. They do exist!

If she he err it knows how to use a proxy, but so fare i am able to find the ip address and locate them. VR has a program that you can get the header from the letter and past it into the program and it will trace it for you. Nice program but it doesn't tell you everything just says russia and somewhere by moscow so i had to goto one of them sites that give you better info. thanks zap! it told me what city and what country ect...
See i know there are some good russian woman out there, its why im going through all this trouble ot make sure. But its not that im into only russian and trust me i have seen alot of beautyfull russian woman. She contacted me asking me to talk to her but now i have seen so many russian woman and learn about them i like the idea, but she don't have to be russian she just has to be my match, no head games no bs no tricks, down to earth gets to the piont and deals with it. Is that so much to ask for! lol
