Greetings All,

I was hoping that someone would have a suggestion on a good stats program that shows robot/spider traffic. I am using WebSTAT for all of my other tracking needs, and the service is one of the best I've ever seen. However, like most programs WebSTAT drops an image on the users browser in order to track activity -- this is not possible with robots/spiders. I once new of a good analog program that showed robot/spider activity, but cannot remember what it was called. Any suggestions?

The analog program you forgot is probably Steve Turner's freebie "analog"! It's downloadable all over the web.

Whatever it is/was you need a logfile tracking solution (unless your site is in something other than flat HTML) rather than a system that tracks images on your page or javascripts.

Examples include, without any bias:
faststats / analog / webtrends log analyser (not "Webtrends live") / Awstat

Take your pick.
