Hi

I have just checked my webalizer stats pages and have this entry in the logs.

XXXX:++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

I clicked on the link that is generated and it did not go anywhere except to a default error page.

Has anybody else had a similar entry or the same entry. If so does anybody know what it means. I also cheked to see if there was any activity in unauthorised areas on my website in case it was an email havesting spider and there wasn't.

Any ideas.

Thank you in advance for your help.

If that's exactly what you're seeing then it's a simple enough answer - they are using using a privacy program/firewall or they are going through a proxy, either way whatever system they are using anonomises their activities and so the referrer has been intercepted and changed into anonomous data so it can't be tracked.

Thank you DreamQuick

I was wondering what the line meant. It has been copied exactly as seen in my log files. Neither does it lead to any website or to any place that is of useful purpose.

Kind regards
