Strange Get Requests

Our server logs are recording these strange GET requests:

Agent: Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 4.01; Windows 95)

They keep asking for [yahoo.com...] .. we have nothing on our web site connected to Yahoo .. yet the requests are successful .. maybe somebody on this forum can help us resolve this mystery .. Thank You.

I have also been seeing the same in my logs for the last week or so. Would be interested in why and what does it mean.

Welcome to WebmasterWorld, sang_aries! You probably have yourself an open proxy.

Set your browsers proxy settings to your webserver/port, and see if you can surf. If you can, better talk to your sysadmin/provider about closing that up.
