How can i stop spam on my real [e-mail]?

Iam constantly getting certain kind of spam on my hotmail Id. I cannot stop this kind of mail because,they carry my realname@somecompanyname (Some times this tail company name may vary). Ex.My hotmailid:[e-mail]
Spam type:[e-mail]. Is there is any antispam tools to stop this? Need advice.

Not quite sure of your problem - except taht using hotmail for business is - always - a problem and ity will just get worse for you.

look at port995 as a possible solution for you.

i do not know exactly what your problem is, but if you are looking for filtering your spam I would recommend using a bayesian spam filter like k9 for example. If you use only web mail not an email client thats no solution sorry

I think zerohour is looking for a filter for Hotmail...if that's the case then you have a couple of options. I have a Hotmail account that has not received even one spam message this entire year. I accomplished this by only accepting mail from people in my address book. However, this may be a bit too restrictive for some, and if you can't do that then tenaka's suggestion for Bayesian filtering is a good one. In order to implement this you'll have to find some way to get your mail off the Hotmail servers via Outlook Express, Outlook or similar. You can't run third party software through the web interface. Once you download your mail I can suggest SpamBayes (my current favorite) or PopFile. These are both very powerful open source programs that can be had for free. SpamBayes has measurably saved me a lot of time, and I highly recommend it.

We have quite a few people who have bought a password from us, only to never recive it because of this technique. I don't mind, I get the money and we they also see the password on the screen after buying, but they sure are stuffed if they don't print it off!

Basically it prevents you from using your mailing account for any signups whatsoever.
