Is there a way to know what type of traffic from the search engines is coming to a site? For example, is there a way to determine if a referral from Google is either an adwords PPC or regular listing?

Thanks,

One way of doing this is to add arguments to your PPC URLs. Example ...

[mysite.com?src=adwords&kw=my_keyword...]

The arguments will appear in your log files.

Use a tracking url for your PPC ad. Append "?source=google" (without the quotes) to the url for your ad.
