Tracking outgoing traffic

Hi all,

I am searching a log analysis tool, that would look at outgoing traffic.
We do not run a website, but all the users have acces to the Net through MS ISA & MS Proxy

For some reason, I have been asked to track internet access usage: per user, site, date/time, etc...

I have already looked at Sawmill, but I cannot drill down from day through user to URLs visited.

Could someone make any recommendation?

Thanks!

Welcome to WebmasterWorld, Patrick!
I use Weblog Expert lite, real simple and it is free. It performs very well. Just copy your logs to an excel spreadsheet.
Hope that helps, WFN

Thanks for the reply!

From what I read from the web site, it looks like just another web site traffic analyser.

What I need is exactly the opposite: I want to be able to drill down through bandwith usage, date/time, site to the user.

Any more information?

Are you hosting your own site on your own server?

If not, then the company that is hosting your site should be able to provide this info.

Does that help?

I see some misunderstanding here!

Our website is hosted on our providers equipment, and the information they deliver about visits is ok

What I am interested in has nothing to do with a web site.

It has to do with the use our users (employees) do with the internet connectivity.

This is outgoing traffic only: I need to provide figures for bandwith usage, web sites our users visit, time of the day, session duratons, ...

Again, this is about company ressources / uses control, not about web site!
