Is anyone aware of a web analysis software package that will track users movements from outer pages to the homepage and keep a tally of how many times they moved from page A to the home page?

most of our ad stuff uses outsources agencies to do that. However, I use a lot of unique redirects to track promotions myself.

Found a product which may do what you are looking for - WUM [wum.wiwi.hu-berlin.de].
It is a free data mining tool, you need to register and then you will be sent a download URL by email. It looks quite interesting.
I tend to view my logs by hand to extract this sort of information.

I have downloaded and installed WUM and I think it does what you are looking for. It is not the easiest product to install and run, but it does seem to be very powerful at analysing user sessions.

I'm afraid it was too complicated for me to set up. Thanks for the suggestion.
