I am new in this 'world', so please excuse if I dont know all of the rules in here.
I have a couple of .asp sites, and log clicks out on banners, links etc. I am using an .asp track page, that writes information about the clicker to a database, and then redirects to the link.
But I was told that this is not very search-engine friendly, and that the address to the link should appear directly in the html on the original page, and tracking should be done via javascript.
So how can I do that. I know almost nothing of javascript, so if the code can be spelled out, I would be very happy.
Sincerely Niels from Denmark
I believe that I know even less about javascript than you do, but perhaps your question will be more visible for the experts if I bump it to the top.
