Found an unusual referral link in one of my client's traffic reports from a page on Amazon.com. Twenty referrals, to be exact. Knowing there was no chance my client's site would have a link from Amazon.com, I followed it to see what was going on.

The page displays a few Internet marketing books. It then occurred to me this must be an affiliate link. But how did it turn up in my client's reports as 20 referrals from this page?

Did a search on this forum and found someone brought this subject up nearly a year ago. Same affiliate account, too.... And the same number of hits... 20 at a time.

I think I'm gonna report this guy to Amazon. Anyone else have a visits from these kind of affiliates lately?

I just got hit by this guy too - exactly 20 referrals as well. This was also discussed in a much earlier thread [webmasterworld.com], and apparently there was no response from Amazon about it back then.

Interesting, as this is a brand new site that just launched within the past few weeks.
