Getting PPC keyword using Analog?

I have several PPC campaigns driving traffic into my site (Overture, Adwords, Espotting). I use Analog as my stats program. How do I get Analog to display the search term that was searched for in each of the PPC engines (at present in the search query report a large proportion is just showing as 'Other')?

Why don't you create landing pages for your adwords. This way you can look at how many times each page was requested and work it out from there. If you're not targeting too many phrases then this should work. I don't think Analog can do what you're talking about - it is pretty much the most basic free stats program out there.

The referer that is passed from a paid click is from the main search engine (rather than the PPC domain), so I don't think you can separate your keywords unless you tag all your landing pages too.

Have you tried using www.yourdomain.com/landingpage.htm?kw=cheap+widgets for your campaigns?

I think you would then be able to use: INTSEARCHENGINE /landingpage.htm kw

The other option is to use an ASP service like roitrack.co.uk (it's primarily for PPC return on investement tracking, but it logs keyword phrases by SE too).

Hope this helps.

Thanks for the advice.

With the number of PPC keywords I have I don't really want to start appending kw="search+term" after each one.

Now I know what I do, all I want to be able to do is differentiate the PPC campaigns from other search engine traffic in the Referrer Site Report. With all my PPC campigns I already have the URL as follows:

[mysite.com...]
[mysite.com...]
[mysite.com...]

How do I get these to show up in Analog? I am trying to do the following but it doesn't work:

REFSITEALIAS *referrer=AdWords* "Adwords"
REFSITEALIAS *referrer=Overture* "Adwords"
REFSITEALIAS *referrer=Espotting* "Espotting"

Can you help?
