This appeared in my logs last night. Yes, my server returned a "404" on the request, but I would like to know what they are after just in case I need to block anything. I have omitted where it came from, but I know who they are -a company that hosts websites and does other SEO stuff.
Any info would be appreciated!
Thanks in advance, WFN :)
The HTML hasn't closed the A HREF link request properly, and so the onClick code has also been sent to your server when the visitor clicked on the page.
If you go to the referring site and look at the source you'll see what I mean. It'll be something like:
<a href="/ onClick=kr(this,'wr','42','i)">blah JP
So are you saying the referrer actually has a link to my site?
Somewhere on the web there is a link to your site homepage (/). You aren't using JavaScript code for onClick on your site are you?
The referrer is found in your log files at the poisition marked in bold:
"GET /' onclick='kr(this,'wr','42','i') HTTP/1.0" 404 139 "referrer" "Mozilla/4.51 JP
