How do you find out who's been using images from your domain? Or if a hostee is uploading their images to their space I provided them but using them at another site, without my permission?

Hi Likewhoa

Welcome to webmasterworld [webmasterworld.com] :o)

A quick check in the logs should be enough to find out this info.

There is a also a way through .htaccess to stop hotlinking.

try a site search for "hot linking"

hope this helps

Sorry, a little clarification (i hope):

<-- A quick check in the logs should be enough to find out this info.

I am referring to your log files (ask your host), in the log files you will be able to see all the requests for your images, look at the referrer and if it is a URL you don't recognise or lots of requests from one URL then go there and investigate.

<-- try a site search for "hot linking"

At the top of your screen (near the WebmasterWorld logo) you will see a link site search, use this to search WebmasterWorld for previous posts regarding your problem, you will find many as this topic has been covered extensively, including the .htaccess approach.

hope this helps
