I have the misfortune of looking after a site running on IIS6.
Fast Stats won't read them, but they don't look that different to normal logs - anyone know of a work around for this?

You need to set the logs to W3C Extended Log File Format - have a browse round IIS Advanced properties for your site in the Mangement console

If you don't have server access you could use a reporting tool that allows you to define the log format.
You can do this in Analog; I don't know if you can do this with Fast Stats(?)

No such luxury I'm afraid. There's a control panel with the host but it isn't that indepth.
Going to have to look at alternative reporting solutions methinks...

How about asking the hosting company what setting they have used for the log format. Then if it is something esoteric you can go back and ask them why they didn't choose a generic format everyone can use. There is a small chance they haven't thought about what they have done.

I tried that, quoting from the Microsoft site, didn't work too well. Thanks for the pointers, I've sorted an alternative.
