got a strange log entry in my referers, anyone know what would cause this:

I've only got one thing to say to that "proxies".

For some reason I don't really understand some people get paranoid about websites knowing which site they were at before, normally the same people that think turning off all cookie support is a good idea because they "invade their privacy".

Certain proxies or security suites (for example Norton if memory serve) offer the ability to filter such things, and when they do it's typically replaced with a set of X's like the example you supplied.
