I have obtained the 3rd position on Google, however I am not in the top 100 of ATW or Hotbot? How could this be? I don't expect to be 3rd as well on the other Engines, however not being in the top 100 in making me worried?
Any suggestions on why/how this can happen?

Is this for a new page/site? If so, ATW may take longer than Google to include it in their index.

Nope. It's been online for awhile. The site had obtained the 3rd page on ATW a few months back; but now it seems as if it vanished.

Re-submit it, if memory serves, they sometimes "lose" sites.

I am really confused as well, ATW recognises that I have 112 external web pages that link to my site, but they haven't bothered to put me in their index, or doesn't it work like that?

I had the same experience listed then dropped but retained all the back links and even a few content pages. I wrote a polite letter to ATW and 2 weeks later i have a reply the same day they spidered the site so I am hoping they will like the content and list it. - Clean site no hidden ploys or spam and good and improving rankings on other SE's.

I have a similiar issue, #3 in Google, #1 on MSN but #20 on ATW, what can be done differently to optmize for ATW?
Thanks

customdy I have similar rankings: #1 on inktomi but nowhere to be found on ATW.
I could be wrong but I don't think this is anything other than a paid inclusion issue. I have a bunch of #1 - #10 sites in google, all of them show substantially more backlinks in ALW than google and yet less than 1/2% of my traffic comes from ATW. ATW knows full well about your sites, they are just waiting for you to pay your Lycos/Fast yearly dues per url and you're in! Or you could just wait it out, who knows, they may start showing your sites someday.

It could also be a filter problem. Default the filter for adult content is on, but sometimes ATW has false positives (page is filtered although it has no adult content). To find out, try a search with filter off.
