Which is the best way to get in?

Which is the best way to get in alltheweb. My site is currently in Ink and Google but not alltheweb. How should I go about this?

Under the search window in ATW it says 'submit a site'.

Yeah obviously submitted my homepage via lycos insite, but was more referring to getting a 200+ page site indexed for minimal cost.

NB. It's not the size of the site, if each page is linked from your index, just submit your index.:)

Mike, basically ATW indexes similarly to all the major engines: once you have some important links pointing to the site, they will sooner or later pick the site up.
In my experience the typical ATW pattern is to first index the index page, and in a second go, the rest/more pages.
Some people found ATW to get their sites very fast, some have waited many many weeks.
Using the free submission doesn't hurt, some people have reported it had helped them, so you might as well submit some important hub pages.

I just submitted about 30 pages of one website to "All The Web" and all the pages made it in their index in about 3 weeks.

FWIW, we just submit the index page and wait. ATW does a reasonable job of indexing dynamic sites up to 3 levels (from root). Check after a couple of months and submit any key pages that are missing.

Never had any problems getting in.

Just curious about the submissions. When you say to submit the index page, do you have to be specific? By this I mean do you have to submit, [widgets.com...] or can you just submit, [widgets.com...]

I tried submitting to ATW at least six weeks ago and nothing happened. But I did use the latter form when I submitted. Was that a mistake?

Just go with your home page for now.

FYI, ATW seems to be better at deep spidering dynamic sites, however, that is only based on 7 sites so...

the best way is to put ur site on DMOZ and it would be crawled in full.
ATW does not crawl as much as google does but it keeps the structure of your page more than google does.

That is true bilalak, however, many cats in DMOZ are unedited and therefore, at present, impossible or there is an extremely long wait to get into D.

According to the mods getting into regional cats is at present a no no.

I would suggest only to submit the top level page and then wait. It can take up to 2 months before the site is included in the index.

Don't submit all pages.

We did only the top level pages and have now 24,000 pages in ATW.
