It's possible to use alltheweb search field as simple calculator. So if I type 5*8*333 and press ENTER, I get the answer 13320. Very cool!
Even cooler is the "convert" feature. Type for example: convert:300lbs and you'll get it converted to different metric and imperial units.
ATW Converter [alltheweb.com]. Really comes in handy when you have worldwide friends that often quote things in punds, dollars, ounces, farenheit etc. ;)

Query prefixes [alltheweb.com]
ATW has been great for so long! The problem being that it has never been popular with the general searcher (other than the corresponding lycos searches). ATW has always been the contender to Google in terms of relevancy and volume of pages.
It's now up to Overture to decide it's fate. I don't think I would be overstating to say it hangs in the balance.
