FAST results aggregated - is this new?

And will Lycos etc follow suit with links?

My database-driven site has thousands of pages indexed by FAST. On searches such as "keyword town" where there were more than one entry per town I used to get a series of results - all genuinely distinct - in sequence. This has now changed so where for example I would have seen our site in slots 5-15 for "keyword town1" I now only get position 5, with a "more hits from" link.

While this is a shame for me, I can understand it from the user's pov.

However, when the same search is done on Lycos I just get a single entry at no 5, with no "more hits from" link, which seems a shame.

Does anyone know whether these aggregated results are new, just new to me and whether sites taking FAST results will be bringing in the "more hits from" functionality?

cheers

its usually a crawl - update issue, i've seen it on a few sites, where for a while it will list multiple pages, then default to the highest listing only. Which then relays to Lycos, and other Fast SERP partners.
