Terra Lycos Says Exploring Paid Services

What could they offer that Google doesnīt give for free?
Fast has just announced a news search; Fast is also good at video, mp3, picture and ftp search - but this is free on alltheweb.
Easily imaginable however are subscription based entertainment channels.
Lycos has just sealed an agreement with Bertelsmann, co-owner of Lycos.europe, to integrate Bertelsmann entertainment content on their portals.

Especially books - Bertelsmann practically owns the US bookmarket - and music - Bertelsmann sees itīs Napster investment go down the drain and is OTOH a heavyweight in music industry. Audio streaming and Video-on-demand - which in turn explains why TerraLycos is so keen on pushing broadband technology.
