Lycos Results

Does anyone know how lycos ranks their results. I thought i had it figured out but i guess i was wrong. Thanks.

Lycos results are powered by Fast.

There have been some discussions lately as to how Fast are ranking. You might want to scroll down this forum a bit or use the site search.

In general and for not overly competitive terms the following works usually quite well:
get links to the site, with kw in anchortext
go for ODP listings
validate your code
keep pages small
shoot for medium to high density
do all the other on page basics - <h> <title> <desc> etc

I submitted my sites directly through lycos. Maybe that is new for them, im not really sure. So i dont know if they list with fast anymore. Thanks.
