We had nearly 20,000 pages on alltheweb and lycos. Now seem to be gone. When checking for our pages I have always searched the url and a few words that are on all of the pages to see our listings. This time nothing. Is there another way to check our listings? Is it possible they are out there and hidden someplace? If not, why have we been wiped out? Anyone else lose their listings on alltheweb?

To see if your URL's are in the index (alongside those who link to you) try link.all:www.yoursite.com

I know for a fact there has been changes in the index, I now have more URL's in there. Not sure if this forum covered and sort of update.

>hidden, wiped

Im not sure

whew - 20.000 pages gone....

A sure fire way to check is to go to the advanced search, leave query box empty, set filters to "must include" fill in your url, set filter to "in the url"

Thanks for the help. Using link.all:wwwmydomain.com I found all the listings safe and sound. Apparently whatever changes they have made requires a different approach than what has worked in the past.

My site was gone due to an outage, re-submitted and it's back; may be coincidental though.
