I'll leave all the technical coding parts to someone else ;) That isn't english to me either.

Actually this patent has been issued as a PCT back in 2000, so it is not actually new.

I never really got to read through it all but I believe it is basically how they retrieve information and process it. Stripping down the code, matching text, determining keyword weights, etc.

As far as I understand anything of it they claim to have a "cost-efficient" way (algorithm) to find approximate word matching between the search phrase query and the actual text and symbols.

That is it would be cumbersome (expensive in computing time) to check all possibilities of matches of keywords in a keyphrase with the text on the pages. They think they can do it more cleverly.

Not that I can make anything out of this in SEO food for FAST.
