Afternoon WebmasterWorld - Im debating wether to post this now or wait till after my lunch. Ah well ill post it now.

I reported a while ago hotbots submission URL went 404 and there was a lot of discussion on it. However I accidently clicked my bookmark for it today and it is no longer 404.

Thank you for your interest in submitting your site to HotBot. We are in the process of upgrading this service to provide better reliability and performance. If you would like to be notified when the new HotBot site submit is available, please enter your email address below

Think maybe collecting e-mails notifying people of their submit inclussion service thingy?

I noticed a link to Lycos paid submit service on that page, at the bottom. I'm going to enter my address and see what they send out. My guess is it's going to be a pitch for Lycos submit, but we'll see...

The UK version of HotBot is still accepting submissions, I don't know for how much longer though.

Kinda reminds me of what some of the more progressive lifegaurds in California say when they leave the beach. "The ocean is now closed!" Now there is no way a native Californian would presume to close the ocean! Those are imported lifegaurds. But the thought lingers, If i cann't surf for free here where can i surf.
