your right, just seen the update not sure if it is switching, but for targetted keyphrases, for the most competitive, just went to #1 for them all, and the less competitive, already their.
Does fast Dance ? what should we call it, the 'eurodance' ?hehe
My site with New Page New Page New Page on the Fast results still has it.
They have obviously spider since I changed the page but they have not updated that sites entries.
Are the multimedia results on the right hand side new???
Well, Iīve been scratching my head over this - and, yes, I think the implementation on the serps is new. Remember, alltheweb is a mere showcase for Fast technology.
They are anyhow very good at indexing multimedia files. Video, audio and image files are a specialty of Fast technology - one of the main reasons for the t-online deal.
Something similar happen to me on Lycos the other day... I ran a test search, clicked to the second page and then went back to the first, and the results had changed. Thought it might be a way of giving me different results assuming I didn't like the first, so I deleted my cookies and tried again. No luck... I didn't get the same results again until the next day.
I tried several searches but canīt reproduce the effect, neither on lycos not alltheweb.
>a way of giving me different results assuming I didn't like the first
hmm, though fast technology should be capable of providing *personalized* results I donīt think itīs done.
I suppose this could be a matter of integrating new 24 hours spidered urls with their regular 2 weeks update cycles. In Lycos.Europe sites a few months ago we had the problem of lycos lagging up to 4 weeks behind alltheweb. Now, from what I see, all lycos sites are synchronised with alltheweb. This raises questions on how fast partners get their results. Fast db is served from regular PCs. Perhaps they have a similar structure as Google - with different versions of the database. But this is mere speculation - any information on this is much appreciated!
