Fast - On the Move and getting better

Yesterday I accidently setup my default search proxy script to point at Fast/alltheweb instead of my normal Altavista. It is a little cgi I wrote. The amazing thing is that I've done 8 searches in a row using Fast, and I've found what I was looking for all 8 times.

Thats never happened with Fast before. They are getting better results.

Yeah, they are lightning alright, but what criteria are they using? They have my entire site cataloged and over 200 links to me, I follow all the standard conventions, no tricks beyond good doorways but I don't exist on the searches until number 172. Haven't seen anyone figure them out yet.

Looks to be a pretty straight ahead density algo. Standard stuff. The order appears to be, Title, meta desc, heading, first paragraph, domain, and finally hitting the density just right (6 percent?). Could it be that easy? I'll let ya know...
